This is an overview of one of the 2 particle effects I created for Valve Software's "Team Fortress 2" Smissmas 2020 Update.
The goal of this project was to create a technically complex and visually pleasing winter themed particle system that matched the style of one of my previously accepted assets "Sparkling Lights". I based the design off of my grandmother's Christmas tree lights, which she switched every year, one year being Gold/Silver lights, and the next being more modern RGB LED lights. I also wanted to keep the trailing particle design that I created for "Sparkling" without causing performance/gameplay issues, due to the nature of player's being unable to fight back while taunting.
I was the Project Lead, as well as responsible for overall particle design and creation.
I enlisted the help of 3 other community members in this project.
