The first clip is a quick little realistic nuclear explosion. Total of 43 million voxels. Total time to simulate was 8 hours, 21 minutes, with a render time of 21 hours. This simulation can be flipbooked for use in a game engine.

The second clip is a more stylized render, which takes advantage of Phoenix's ability to blend realistic and stylized methods of rendering fire in the same shot. Total of 26 million voxels. Total time to simulate was 4 hours, 23 minutes, with a total render time of 15 hours. This simulation is intended to be flipbooked for use in a game engine

After Effects was used for the flare and post FX, and everything was composited together in Nuke.
