Since the object effect is universally applied across all combatant shapes and sizes, Testing was needed on bosses as well to ensure the look held up.
Some bosses have complex movement, which required testing to again ensure parity across combatants.
This is a showcase of the VFX work I did for The Witch Queen weapon origin perk: Psychohack. This is an object effect that is applied onto combatants when they are hit multiple times with any Throneworld weapon, allowing clear indication that incoming damage from that combatant is reduced. I wanted to make an effect that clearly stood out from the rest of the visual indicators for debuffs in our sandbox, and I chose a visual that made it feel like the enemy was being analyzed to do it. The result is what you see here.
